Welcome to Wikipedia![edit]

Hello Sampsoncolfax, welcome to Wikipedia!

I noticed nobody had said hi yet... Hi!

If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.

If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Wikipedia Boot Camp, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing! Fabrictramp | talk to me 00:09, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Susan Kingsley (Susan Cardwell Hurt) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. BiH (talk) 03:41, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

March 2014[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Middlesboro High School, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. Meters (talk) 16:55, 27 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to Middlesboro High School does not have an edit summary. Not a single edit summary in the dozens of edits you have mad eto this article.

The edit summary appears in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. And stop marking non-minor edits as minor. See the text of the previous warning.

Thanks! Meters (talk) 03:57, 28 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

April 2014[edit]

Again, stop marking non-minor edits on Middlesboro High School as minor. Meters (talk) 23:21, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Middlesboro High School . Your edits have been reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. None of your edits are minor. Stop marking them as minor. Meters (talk) 01:03, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have absolutely no dispute with you or anyone else! As far as I know I am the only one who cares enough to edit the high school where I work. I don't care for your attitude as I get nothing for my edits. As far as removing me from editing, you may do what you like if you have the power to do so. My work is going into a history of the school regardless of Wikipedia. I thought it would be nice to add to Wikipedia so more people would see it.

Again do what you wish with my account if that is what you want. I really no longer care.

Sorry you don't care for my attitude. I'm not trying to chase you away, and I didn't undo your edits. I'm just pointing out, for the fourth time, that you cannot make edits such as those and call them minor. Editors following an article may not bother to review edits that are marked as minor. The first notice I gave you says "Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content." Your edits are clearly not minor, since they add images, text, and even new sections. Since you ignored my first three polite, low level notices, I upped it to disruptive editing. What's the big deal? Just don't mark significant edits as minor. Meters (talk) 04:31, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:M.O. Winfrey.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
