Hello TMG PR. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, and that you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to Black hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:TMG PR. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=TMG PR|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you answer this message. Melcous (talk) 05:26, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Wikipedia,

I am not being compensated for the pages I create here. I am merely interested in creating pages on the interesting people I meet during my lifetime.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Adam Sandoval, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. TMG International[edit]

Can you confirm whether you have a connection to this organisation, TMG International, [1]. KJP1 (talk) 20:14, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

And so fortunate that you had time to take Mr Ticktin's photo during your "brief" meeting. KJP1 (talk) 20:22, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, TMG PR. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Draft:The Global Warming Foundation, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 20:41, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your username[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "TMG PR", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username, by completing this form, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 21:46, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

How exactly do you meet the "interesting people" that you write about? Your name strongly suggests that you work in public relations for a firm called TMG(which does exist according to a Google search). You will need to clarify this. 331dot (talk) 21:48, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The firm is TransMedia Group, which represents Peter Ticktin and the Global Warming Foundation. I am blocking this account for violating the username policy, content guidelines and terms of use. Yunshui  10:39, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

July 2018[edit]

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Yunshui  10:39, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You had no fewer than seven unblock requests. That's totally inappropriate. You are welcome to make one single unblock request at a time, but not seven. That just wastes our time. --Yamla (talk) 19:24, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, as noted above by Yunshui, there's no reasonable chance you are unrelated to TransMedia Group. You'll need to come clean if you want to have any possibility of being unblocked. You'll want to read and address your multiple violations of WP:COI, WP:PAID, and WP:PROMO. --Yamla (talk) 19:27, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
