January 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Sam Jacobs (Australian footballer) may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • Originally from Woodville-West Torrens Football Club|Woodville-West Torrens]] in the [[South Australian National Football Club]] (SANFL), Jacobs was selected by [[Carlton

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 03:15, 2 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you are not doing a review, don't start the review page. The bot will likely revert your removal soon. I'd suggest adding your suggestions to Talk:Tom Wills and then nominating the review page for deletion using WP:U1. Otherwise others will think you are giving a full review. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 05:26, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • I hear ya, but considering the sheer drop in numbers in the past few years (I remember back in 2005... so many people... so many discussions... now talk pages are wastelands) I don't think we could manage without the bots for long. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 06:16, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Books & Bytes New Years Double Issue[edit]

Books & Bytes

Volume 1 Issue 3, December/January 2013

(Sign up for monthly delivery)

Happy New Year, and welcome to a special double issue of Books & Bytes. We've included a retrospective on the changes and progress TWL has seen over the last year, the results of the survey TWL participants completed in December, some of our plans for the future, a second interview with a Wiki Love Libraries coordinator, and more. Here's to 2014 being a year of expansion and innovation for TWL!

The Wikipedia Library completed the first 6 months of its Individual Engagement grant last week. Here's where we are and what we've done:

Increased access to sources: 1500 editors signed up for 3700 free accounts, individually worth over $500,000, with usage increases of 400-600%
Deep networking: Built relationships with Credo, HighBeam, Questia, JSTOR, Cochrane, LexisNexis, EBSCO, New York Times, and OCLC
New pilot projects: Started the Wikipedia Visiting Scholar project to empower university-affiliated Wikipedia researchers
Developed community: Created portal connecting 250 newsletter recipients, 30 library members, 3 volunteer coordinators, and 2 part-time contractors
Tech scoped: Spec'd out a reference tool for linking to full-text sources and established a basis for OAuth integration
Broad outreach: Wrote a feature article for Library Journal's The Digital Shift; presenting at the American Library Association annual meeting

Tom Wills[edit]

Cheers for taking the time to review the article, I will get around to fixing the problems you mentioned. Did you want to add the first Aussie rules poem to Wikisource? It's titled "The Kicking Match" and was published in the Melbourne Punch. I think most (if not all) of the poem is reproduced in Rob Hess' A National Game. - HappyWaldo (talk) 07:00, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like the author has made a great many edits to the article since your last comments on the review. Can you please get back to answer the question he posted, and proceed with the review? Many thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 20:02, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
