Welcome![edit]

Hello, Prakarsha K, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Chow Chow Bath, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

New to Wikipedia? Please consider taking a look at our introductory tutorial or reviewing the contributing to Wikipedia page to learn the basics about editing. Below are a few other good pages about article creation.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, ask me on my talk page. You can also type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! DonaldD23 talk to me 12:09, 27 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Donaldd23 Thank you for your review. I'll edit the article and look for notable sources as suggested. Prakarsha K (talk) 12:49, 27 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Chow Chow Bath has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NFILM. Tagged for notability

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Chow Chow Bath moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Chow Chow Bath, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, and currently has zero. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 11:30, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Onel5969 Thanks for letting me know. I shall work on the article and submit for review once it's revised. Prakarsha K (talk) 12:04, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Chow Chow Bath.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:07, 6 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Kenja Chethan Kumar in 2019.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Kenja Chethan Kumar in 2019.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 11:06, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

May 2024[edit]

Information icon

Hello Prakarsha K. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Kenja Chethan Kumar, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Prakarsha K. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Prakarsha K|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 16:35, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Justlettersandnumbers Hello, I'm not being paid to make edits. This was the article that I had created which was submitted through articles for creation process before being approved by Wikipedia. The recent edit I made on the page was adding "Permission pending" because I had received a message from Wikipedia regarding the copyrights of the image used for this page. It said that I was supposed to send an email regarding the copyrights and once the email is sent, I could add "permission pending" to prevent the image file from deletion. Kenja Chethan Kumar moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Kenja Chethan Kumar. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because Obvious paid editing (despite denial by page creator). Paid editors are expected to submit drafts for WP:AfC review. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 13:04, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Justlettersandnumbers Thank you for your response. I would like to mention that the draft for page Kenja Chethan Kumar was created in Feb 2023 and it was submitted for review on 3rd February 2023, it was published in the mainspace after going through the review. I shall recheck the content again and resubmit it for review. Prakarsha K (talk) 16:12, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No it was not. You moved it to mainspace on 3 February 2023 without submitting it for review, as you must know. So, please explain, how did the author of the VRT ticket relating to this image know on 21 May 2024 that it had been deleted earlier that day? June 2024[edit]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:

  • Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
  • State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
  • Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.

Request reason:

There was a misunderstanding from my end. I apologise that I wasn't aware that my edits for the page Kenja Chethan Kumar fall under the category or paid editing. I would like to explain in detail about how I am related to the subject of the article; Kenja Chethan Kumar is a film director and I have worked with him as an assistant director and as an actor in one of his recent projects. During this, there was a suggestion to create a Wikipedia page about him. Because I had some experience in content writing, I was asked to create the Wikipedia page. There were also many news articles about him, which I have added as citations in the page. Since I wasn't exclusively hired only to create the Wikipedia page, I had a wrong idea that this does not fall under the category of paid editing.
There was another mistake from my end, when I created this article in Feb 2023 I had moved it to the mainspace and only after a few days it started to appear on Google search, I assumed this was because of Wikipedia reviewing the page. Today, when I was talking about it to you @Justlettersandnumbers I got confused about it and due to my mistake I said that I had submitted it for review. It was clearly a misunderstanding from my side and I apologise for it.
Now that I have read and understood the terms of paid editing and conflict of interest, I would like to apologise for my mistake and I assure that I shall disclose about it in the required format.
I would also like to reassure that in the future I shall submit every new article for review. And whenever any major edits related to the affected articles have to be made, I shall request for it in the article talk page.Prakarsha K (talk) 05:47, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
