Youth Parliaments Stuff

Hey just wondering who is this, because I'm the Leader of the Opposition of BCYP, and I prefer 'select'. I want have the BCYP Act amended next year if need be. BCYP really should better align itself to correct constitutional procedure. I prefer 'select' because in real politics, the premier doesn't appoint the LG, the Governor in Council does. Plus, there needs to be a movement to restore real parliamentary traditions that have gone astray in past years. Eddo

I'm an alumnus.
It's not just a matter of tradition. Whether it's the cabinet or the premier (and in the case of the BCYP, the reality is that it's the premier who calls this shot), the LG is "appointed". It's more semantics than anything - the premier selects a person, and confirms the selection by appointing the person to the office.Agent 86

Hi Agent 86: I'm the current Premier of YPM and I would be interested in getting in touch with you about the history of YPs in Canada. I hope you can send me an email at premier-at-ypmanitoba.ca. Thanks! -DG —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.163.45.88 (talkcontribs)

CCRF

Hello, I and a few others have made many edits to Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Do you have any more comments and can you be persuaded to change your vote? CanadianCaesar Et tu, Brute? 03:57, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

I've posted my response on your talk page. Agent 86
Whining and complaining? I've done a lot of work on it. Your edits also required clean up. CanadianCaesar Et tu, Brute? 18:07, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
No, no, no, the reference was to MY whining and complaining (or more precisely, my not whining and stepping up to the plate instead). You haven't whined at all. I also freely admitted my work wasn't done, it needs more time. Assume good faith, my friend! Agent 86 18:12, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
OK, I got you, thanks. ; CanadianCaesar Et tu, Brute? 18:38, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
Great, let's go have a beer! Agent 86 18:39, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
Oh my god. I honestly can't believe this. One of the reasons why I was so angry the other day is because I thought I saw you swearing at me. Looking over the posts again I couldn't find that at all. I can't explain this. Exhaustion? CanadianCaesar Et tu, Brute? 19:25, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
Thanks, that's big of you. I got it in the history of the article too: [1]. CanadianCaesar Et tu, Brute? 02:47, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

BC Hockey

Would you be willing to create a page for the Cyclone Taylor Cup for the BC Jr B Champions? I've already made pages for the KIJHL, PIJHL, and VIJHL... as well as the Keystone Cup which includes a template I created that should go on the Cyclone Taylor Cup as well. I also have a list of CT Cup Champions. DMighton 15:04, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

Prod:Trev

I've removed the notice. Prod cannot be used on this article, as it (technically, the same article under the former name of Trevs, now a redirect) has previously survived AFD (vote: 1 delete (nom), 1 redirect, 2 keep). According to the rules at WP:PROD it may not be used for Articles that have been undeleted or previously retained on AfD. In either case, the deletion is clearly contested and AfD should be used instead. Grutness...wha? 01:27, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

Just to say I support your merge. - Runcorn 19:49, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

Hi there, You're quite right to have prodded this - the school doesn't exist: appears to be a hoax by a 2005 alumnus of Camberwell High School called Ben Crowley. (I'm gently amused that people voted to keep the article without even checking basics - like whether its existence can be verified! That's what I call assuming good faith...) Humansdorpie 21:16, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

  • Thanks for the comment. I wasn't aware of that. Must be spideysense I didn't know I had. Personally, I don't subscribe to the theory that all schools are somehow notable. Agent 86 23:22, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks

Cheers muchly for devandalisation of my good name, old boy. If only that young rascal could be persuaded that he is, in fact, not funny... Vizjim 23:04, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Speedy delete

I notice that you've asked for a speedy delete on several AFD discussions. I'm not sure if you're fully familiar with the exact meaning of a speedy delete - it refers to articles that meet the narrow speedy deletion criteria. If you request a speedy delete on articles in the future, please mention which criterion the article meets; if you feel strongly that the article should be deleted, please use "strong delete" instead. Thanks. Stifle (talk) 15:14, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

Merci beaucoup!

Thank you, Agent 86!
Thank you for voting for my recent RfA, which passed (to my extreme surprise and shock) with a total tally of 66/15/2. For that, I would like to thank you and offer a helping hand in any admin-related tasks that may be required -- it's as simple as leaving a message on my talkpage. Thanks again! -→Buchanan-Hermit/!? 22:33, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
