The second parameter appears when you hover your mouse over the text, but will be read by a screen reader.

This is a slight edit of Template:Mousetext that is intended for helping screen readers (and others who mouseover) to expand abbreviations. It would be very useful if column headings in tables were abbreviated to keep the column width small.
