Why? I could cite plenty of reasons at length, but one would be the legitimization and support of editors such as this one, who think this bit of delusional defiance of basic logic is a valid argument to make when editing an article:

"Just because A=Z and B=Z and C=Z, does not necessarily mean that A=B=C."
