Kathie Glass is a Libertarian politician in the U.S. state of Texas. She received the Libertarian nomination for Texas Attorney General in 1982, and for Governor in 2010 and 2014. She is the chairman of the Harris County Libertarian Party


Early life and education[edit]

Glass was born in Buford, Georgia. Her mother worked as a school secretary, and her father was an assembly line worker for General Motors. She was the first person in her family to go to college, and graduated magna cum laude from the Univesity of Georgia with a degree in English, then earned a J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law. She moved to Texas in 1977.
