Bio

I'm a drawer and video editor that enjoys living in the State of Washington. I am attending Everett Community College working toward my AA Degree. I love spending time with my best friends, or spending quality time with my family. As well as playing basketball when I have the free time.

I plan on using Wikipedia for research papers, projects, and other assignments that will allow it. I'm a huge fan of Star Wars, and enjoy the Wiki articles it has. I hope to be someone who could make smaller edits or contribute to something that is not as major as most wiki users are. I also love Wiki pages on tv shows and my favorite movies when it comes to Fantasy and Science Fiction.

Article Critique[edit]

Ever since I was young I had a passion for airplanes. Passing though Snohomish, I usually would ponder at the green fields of Harvey Airfield. Once I discovered it's wiki page, I noticed just how little information was given, despite it being a privately owned airport. I visited the "Harvey Airfield" page on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: a non working link, reliable/unreliable citations, and left out information that could be useful.

Broken Links[edit]

I noticed immediately how the 2nd citation "Airport Information" is a broken link which contains perhaps vital information about Harvey Airfield. How are people suppose to rely on a citation page that is no longer working. But just by analyzing the current article, I can tell the other information is already reliable. I feel that it's important for wiki pages even with smaller articles such as this, to have the most accurate and up to date information for people to access.

Citations[edit]

While citations are present in this wiki article, only 7 are usable due to citation 2 being a broken link. They are cited in the article, but I'm questioning if several of these cites are reliable enough? Three PDF's and two .com sites that have the kind of advertising that's funding the websites. Also while it has external links being shown, information from those pages aren't currently citied in the article.

Additional information[edit]

Its understandable that this is a small airport having a small wiki article. But its sources could have the potential to revamped and increased. External links could have taken more information to be put in the article itself or added sections. It would have been great to add the photos of the airfield, rather than just showing the airport on the map of Washington.

Conclusion[edit]

I believe this page is fine with having the basic outline of what Harvey Airfield is. But I can't help but notice the lack of having enough citations. Along with the broken 2nd citation not redirecting to the page with the most information about the airport. Additional facts and information would be a great addition to help benefit the page, which could spread the word of the airport. Showing it's importance and connection with the Snohomish community. (I added an additional photo to the wiki article: Harvey Airfield)
