I hold a PhD in Tudor/Stuart British History. My areas of expertise include Tudor History, especially the mid-Tudor period (1535-1565); "Lady" Jane Grey Dudley; the English succession crisis of 1553; portraiture of Jane Grey Dudley; Tudor portraiture more generally; Tudor costume and jewelry/jewellery history. I have published several books as well as numerous articles in scholarly journals, and I have made a half dozen or more media appearances as a "talking head expert," including in a 3-part documentary about Jane Grey Dudley for BBC4.

I generally avoid editing articles, with a few exceptions, because of the editing wars that usually ensue as those who have read an Alison Weir novel or seen some atrocious Hollywood-esque shredding of the fact-based historical narrative decide they are themselves "experts" on the subject. Instead, I suggest edits and allow others to determine whether they want Wikipedia to be fact-based and reliable ... or not. The primary exception to my non-editing rule is the article on Jane Grey Dudley. In that one instance, I am reasonably aggressive in pursuing factually incorrect and rubbish edits.
