The comment that he died "leaving a dump for a memorial" may in fact be the case, but I suspect this phrase rings of some type of anger or bitterness at the physical condition of the island today. From an environmental standpoint, the area is certainly a mess--it's probably one of the most polluted places on earth--but the statement sounds somewhat unprofessional. I recommend removing it, or rephrasing it to reflect the legacy of pollution in some other way.--Bdmccray (talk) 02:13, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
