- Yes, criminals like Auto Shankar and Psycho Shankar need to be added. They both belong to this community. I don't know why Auto Shankar was removed by User: Sitush 103.195.249.153 (talk) 09:43, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- Because it was not adequately sourced. - Sitush (talk) 15:03, 4 February 2024 (UTC)

There are some false information regarding this community is published. No literatures and books saying that vanniyars were lower caste. They are cheftians. They are the people who are fighting for the kingdoms and mostly agriculture people Prince king320 (talk) 06:48, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
- Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made.
- Note there are 2 existing book sources (1 2) that say they were historically considered a lower caste. Jamedeus (talk) 18:08, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
- Wrong, their women were prostitutes and men worked as slaves to Brahmins and Vellalars .In fact, there is a myth that they migrated to South with Brahmins and carried their slippers and umbrella for them. 103.195.249.59 (talk) 07:06, 15 March 2024 (UTC)

- It particularly talks about castes in TN that claim themselves to be descended from fire pit. There is only caste group ( Pallis) that make fire origins claims. I am not sure where the fact would fit in but if the article mentions the myth of fire origins , then the myth of them being the carrier of slippers and umbrella of Brahmins should also find home in the article. Also , the article doesn't mention they were "left hand" (Idangai) castes but the book mentions that they were . Kindly include the fact that they were left hand faction. Articles about some of the other Tamil castes have made the distinction as to if the said caste belongs to Idangai( left hand) or Vadangai (right hand) faction. The right hand/ left hand is one of the important differentiation in Tamil castes and it is a non-trivial one as it defines the status of the castes. Generally speaking right hand castes are considered upper in status when compared to left hand castes. Including this fact would definitely enrich the article. 24thHusbandofDraupathi (talk) 15:55, 13 May 2024 (UTC)

- Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Myrealnamm (💬talk · ✏️contribs) at 16:01, 7 May 2024 (UTC)
Occupations.of Palli[edit]
Please expand the occupation of Pallis in the article. I am not sure how can I suggest this change in "X to Y" format as I don't know where it will fit. But since castes are mostly stratified by occupations, it is imperative to add it on this article as to what occupations Palli did. Here is an excerpt from a source by Gutenberg : "The Pallis live in separate streets or quarters distinctively known as the Palli teru or Kudi teru (ryots’ quarter). The bulk of them are labourers, but many now farm their own lands, while others are engaged in trade or in Government service. The occupations of
