New article, still in progress. I would like to also add the Norman Cole plant if possible. The UOSA plant is particularly interesting because it supplies between 50% and 90% of the drinking water for western Fairfax County, a relative rarity. People in Fairfax are literally drinking reclaimed sewage that has been filtered through the reservoir. I am currently researching the technology involved. The UOSA plant provides no drinking water for western Fairfax County. It provides no drinking water for anyone. It releases water into the Occoquan Resevoir and a drinking water plant there provides water to its subscribers.
