That sentence is very american centric as if all developments revolved around the US. Guns had been progressing for hundreds of years in Europe. For example, in the Franco-Prussian War there were guns that could be fired relatively fast. Even before that, soldiers were trained to reload their guns quickly. This sentence should be changed or utterly removed.

If someone ends up listing the cultural references for this episode it should be said that the concept of 3 different version of the same event is taken from Rashomon24.207.131.20 (talk) 12:17, 9 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
