Game Engine[edit]

Does anyone know the name of the game engine (i.e., middleware) used in the development of Super Mario Galaxy? Is it third-party or in-house? Aeonassoc 15:24, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure its in house...or probably whatever did super mario sunshine —Preceding unsigned comment added by Madhatter9max (talkcontribs) 02:09, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Christmas[edit]

Will this game be out in time for Christmas?

Well, it's supposed to be out this year. Big chance it'll be released sometime before the last week of December. --ThomasO1989 13:43, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It will be released November 12. Useight 17:33, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's going to be released at Christmas here in Australia. --Pezzar 04:20, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reception[edit]

You think along with everybody raving about the game you could also add Reggie's comment at E3 07 that it's the first worthy successor to Mario 64? (Zojo 17:35, 12 July 2007 (UTC))[reply]

This is Super Mario 128?[edit]

Why does it say in the article that this is NOT Super Mario 128? Yet according to Wikipedia, it is. Pluvia 04:53, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • We were talking about it look in the archives. Uchiha23 02:33, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

some people are getting philosophical about it. but basically it isnt. super mario 128 was about a whole bunch of lemming like marios running around. this isnt that. but the level design is similar. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Madhatter9max (talkcontribs) 02:11, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I saw a video about Galaxy and Shigeru Miyamoto said it was not Mario 128. He said that they were still making it. Why can't i find a good username 20:21, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What the Super Mario @#$%! is Super Mario 128?!?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.27.139.229 (talk) 02:00, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Super Mario 128 was a purposed idea for a direct sequel to Super Mario 64 (ie, 64 x 2 = 128). The idea first came along in some Nintendo meeting where this video was shown. It involved 128 mini-Marios picking up blocks and chucking them off a stage Pikmin-style. This became a long running in joke and, when Mario Galaxy was announced, some people supposed that it was the M128 concept finally coming to be. It turns out, though, that the video was just a demonstration; the features listed in the video (which also included 'spear walking,' such as is Galaxy's theme) were already incorporated into a number of other games.--Is this fact...? 09:37, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Galaxies?[edit]

Should someone remove the line "Various worlds include Egg Planet galaxy, Cookie Factory galaxie, Honey Bee galaxy, Star Dust galaxy, Beach Bowl galaxy, and the Gateway galaxy."? The names are definately not official and may not officially be "galaxies". It also resembles most vandalisms. 75.36.203.231

If not already removed it should be, since it is fake info, and there is no credible source even if it is true. Miles Blues 18:51, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What are you talking about? Sine when was real information vandalism? These names came straight from Nintendo and IGN, who played it at E3.--Claude 07:57, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The names were in the E3 demos: http://gamevideos.com/video/id/13281 Morgan Lamia 22:34, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We now have sufficient evidence of the game's structure: that there are six Grand Galaxies, each contains 6 normal galaxies; 3 with three stars and 3 with one star. The press demonstration video from mid-October proves beyond speculation that the first Grand Galaxy contains: Good Egg Galaxy (formerly Egg Planet Galaxy), Honeyhive Galaxy (formerly Honeybee Galaxy), Loopdeeloop Galaxy (the water racing one), Flipswitch Galaxy, Bowser Jr.'s Robot Reactor, and an unknown sixth galaxy. Can these be edited in now? BowieX 16:19, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Time Limits[edit]

In all the E3 gameplay videos, there are time limits, does anyone know what would happen if they ran out, what they're for, etc? I hate having time limits as it stops you exploring the game but anyway, i think this should be added to the article.

I think the time limit was just for the demo, so when time ran out, someone else would get to play it. -- PowerslaveTC 16:07, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Princess Rosetta[edit]

Do you think that it is confirmed that Princess Rosetta is kidnapped instead of Princess Peach and if not do you think we should delete it? Jamesjack 16:48, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How is it confirmed? We have two pictures of her. That's it, nothing more. -Sukecchi 19:44, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think we should remove the "Princess Rosetta" thing in "Plot", as A) Peach has been captured and not "Rosetta" , and for B) see my comment above. Pezzar 06:44, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

lets not obsess about it...when the game comes out: guess what? we'll know. just leave her alone because she probably is important.

Nintendo revealed that Princess Peach was captured by Bowser. I also saw it on a preview of the game. Plus, I've never even heard of this Princess Rosetta. Why can't i find a good username 20:26, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Game Production[edit]

Well, I see that the article states that Mario Galaxy production started during DKJB. So, I say it is wrong to put that it clearly denies the possibility of Mario 128 being Galaxy. Actually Mario 128's production started in late 2004. The game that was being produced after the Mario 128 Demo was actually Mario 64 2. After 2 years of production it was cancelled for lack of creativity and story. After E3 2004, the Mario 128 was mentioned on a question. Miyamoto stated clearly that Mario 128 was being started on prodution. Now if you think I'm wrong about it go and see the date DKJB was launched in Japan. Everybody knows that Mario 128 was being made in Japan. So I suggest to take that phrase off the article. Mr. Mario 192 16:39, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Do you have any sources? Geoff B 20:58, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean, if I got any sources. There's no need for source for the fact that Mario 128 was being made in Japan. If you want to see DKJB's Japan launch, go see the article. Read the Mario 64 2 article for more information. It was even said on the Japanese's magazine "Nintendo Dream", and the Brazilian's "Nintendo World" on the E3 2001 edition, E3 2004 edition, and the September 2004 edition. Search on Google for Mario 64 2 for more information. Mr. Mario 192 15:30, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Miyamoto stated during his keynote speech at the 2007 Game Developer's Conference that the concepts of Super Mario 128 became Pikmin. Spruce Woodway 22:55, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Super Mario 128 was a bunch of programming experiments. One of them was the spherical-world gameplay, which was implemented into SMG. --Tyler McBride 02:21, 29 September 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by TylerMcBride (talkcontribs)

Those were cocepts, not the game itself.--Mr.Mario 192 19:41, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Super Mario 128 has been stated to be a collection of experiments made using the Gamecube hardware. An interview states that the spherical-world concept came from SM128, and SMG was started after DKJB (stated in the interview). And, when you make your arguments, state your sources. Just saying "google it" is as pointless as that guy who says "DS sucks" and only supports his argument by "look it up on the internet, they say so." --ThomasO1989 22:30, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe you don't understand that SM128 got started after DKJB because SM64 2 was cancelled 2 months before DKJB. The demo was a collection, but Miyamoto confirmed that it was a game.--Mr.Mario 192 01:19, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This proves you're speculating. Super Mario 64 2 was canceled way longer before that. Back in 2001 I emailed Nintendo.com, asking about SM64 2 when I noticed that they took it down from the site and they said that the project had been cancelled ("we have no plans to release SM64 2").--ThomasO1989 05:00, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is impossible!!! I e-mailed them right on the day of the DKJB launch (my birthday), and they said they've cancelled it exactly 2 months before the launch, having 128 as the next try. THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!--Mr.Mario 192 05:06, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am not lying. And shouting will not help you prove your point. --ThomasO1989 05:08, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I'm not lying either.--Mr.Mario 192 05:08, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I remember it vividly: before Nintendo redesigned their site, they had a list of future releases for the Nintendo 64. SM64 2 was on there for a while. And then it disappeared one day. I emailed them and asked about it, and they said "we have no plans to release SM64 2."--ThomasO1989 05:12, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I remember clearly on the Japanese magazine, "Nintendo Dream" that they interviewed Myamoto on the January 2005 issue. He stated the things I said here. This is my support and evidence. I don't know if you do read Japanese, but that's what's on the issue. SM128 was the second try. But one thing is for sure, if Mario Galaxy is not 128, that means that Mario 128 is still in production. Nintendo never said that they cancelled totally the entire game.--Mr.Mario 192 21:32, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Guys, if you say Mario 128 was just a bunch of experiments that were incorporated on Pikmin, Galaxy, and Twilight Princess, your half wrong. The demo shown was just a demo, but because SM64 2 was cancelled, Mario 128 would be the appropriate name for the sequel. So, the demo became the name of the game. The intersting thing is that on the Monopoly thingy all the Marios are on, have the last names of the people who worked in SM64 and who were said to work on SM64 2. Those are all inscripted on the border spaces. --Mr.Mario 192 21:36, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

calm down its just a game. just refer to the mario 128 as a project that has instead been disected and planted into other games. he said if he cant use mario he's use someone else.Madhatter9max 21:15, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Boxart[edit]

Why was the boxart placed there? That's not the confirmed boxart as it comes from a 3rd party source with no confirmation from Nintendo. I think it should be replaced with the Mario Galaxy logo.

It should be left since it looks better.

First of sign your comments, next if the boxart is unoffiacal, it should be taken down to be replaced with the game logo, however this boxart looks convincing in that it shows new art that is not just pasted over a wii boxart template. But still unless you can PROVE that it is real it will be taken down, no matter how much better it looks.→041744 21:05, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It IS fake. You can find that exact same image of Mario on both IGN's and N-sider's webpages on the Mario Galaxy gallery section. IGN even complemented on how easily the image could be made into a game cover. -Anonymous August 6 2007

Don't hesitate to replace fake stuff in an article, such as the fake boxart. I replaced the fake boxart with the official logo. Miles Blues 04:20, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thisis not the official SMG website. That's just for info released during E3.
  • Both Gamespot and Go Nintendo show this boxart. Go Nintendo says its straight from Nintendo's press room. Do you think they are lying?
  • Check out this page from Nintendo for Metroid Prime 3 Corruption. Not only does it not have any boxart, it shows the old logo. That must mean the new boxart is fake, obviously :P. Here's the page for Wario Ware Smooth Moves. The official page doesn't show the boxart, oh no! Tehw1k1 22:11, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Two websites with no relation with Nintendo does not warrant it be declared official, they could copy cat each other or the like. No official Nintendo site has released boxart (or if they have, link it!) so do you really think that these two stand alone sites would get the real boxart before Nintendo gave it out? We need an OFFICIAL Nintendo site to say weather or not it is real or fake, as that has not yet been done, we shall not use as it is unknown if it official or not. →041744 22:40, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Look at my links above of Nintendo created sites that don't even show boxarts for games already published or remain un-updated. And I must have missed the memo when Gamespot and Go Nintendo stopped being reliable sources. Nintendo has never released their boxart with much fanfare. They just release it to media outlets and it gets out there gradually. The boxart is there on Nintendo's press site, which you need press credentials to access. Go Nintendo has them. Fake boxarts are usually quite low-res. The ones on Go Nintendo and GS are super hi-res. Click the links. I will find confirmation of SMG's boxart straight from a Nintendo site as soon as you do the same for any other Nintendo published Wii game. And it's just your opinion, you don't speak for all of Wikipedia, so don't say "we". Tehw1k1 23:13, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why not try this. Look @ all the other Wii boxart released and then compare it with that. If it looks photoshopped, then say so here in the talk page. Pezzar 23:36, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here is the picture on Gamespot. Go Nintendo has an even higher-res pic here. Tehw1k1 23:58, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Australia - 2008?[edit]

The source given for Australia's supposed release date of 2008 says nothing about it. Can you find a source for that date please, or change it to "TBA" or "TBA 2007". Cipher (Talk to the hand) 19:58, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please remember, Shigsy said; "You'll be able to play Mario Galaxy this year!" at the GDC press conference. --Pezzar 04:39, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You've confused me. If he said "this year", then there's still no reason (or source) behind Australia supposedly getting the game next year. So, surely it needs changing to TBA 2007. Oh, and also, where is the source for PEGI's 7+ rating? They've not rated the game yet. So does this article have any more unsourced claims? It wouldn't surprise me. This article needs to be updated[edit]

Today, Nintendo of Japan released a microsite with lots of new trailers, screenshots, and info about the game: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/rmgj/index.html

Here's what I've gathered:

  • The game's theme is gravity (varying levels of it).
  • The Prologue shows Bowser invading the Mushroom Kingdom via airship.
  • Moves include running, jumping, spinning, the "star capture" and a variety of other moves
  • Mario can ride a manta ray, hop on balls (as in Super Monkey Ball, shoot himself out of cannons (as in SM64), and glide through the air with a feather (see Deku Leaf in The Wind Waker). [6]
  • There are at least four transformations beside the bee and boo suits.
  • Some 2D sidescrolling action will return, at least in 2P mode.

Wikipedian06 07:58, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Then update it, don't just complain about it so somebody can do it for you.....→041744 12:45, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

there is no 2-player mode. its just co-op through the whole game, theres no feather so far either, just a dandelion puff thing. the mushroom and flower havent been confirmed as actual transformations. the games theme is space. there is sidescrolling at a point though.Madhatter9max 23:56, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

UR MR GAY[edit]

Should we put this on the page and if so where? Trivia?

No, it's uneccesary, unimportant, and as far as I know, not reported by any reliable sources. DurinsBane87 04:54, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

So the fact that it's on the logo itself, the most reliable source of all, with the "UR MR GAY" letters actually highlighted with stars, on the OFFICIAL logo, means nothing? And the fact there's an article about Joystiq on Wikipedia, and Joystiq happens to have reported it, also means nothing? 89.240.141.37 22:21, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was talking about how big it became in a short period of time. It was on Code Monkeys after all. It would not be put as real but saying how big the joke became.

Will this topic never die? It's just giving people an excuse to be immature, just like when the name Wii was announced. --ThomasO1989 13:17, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is something we can add, even though it can be kind of annoying, it is an interesting coincidence. It can be trivia, like L is Real. They said it said "L is real" or that it was just a blurred nothing. So it doesn't matter too much if we add it. Madhatter9max 05:38, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It also isn't notable enough to be put in. So there's no reason it should be left in. DurinsBane87 07:29, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Added a vandal warning at the top of the page. People who keep putting it back in should be blocked from editing for 24-48 hours as a first warning, and longer for repeat offenses. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikipedian06 (talkcontribs) 03:34, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kamek?[edit]

Is there any evidence to prove that it's actually Kamek in the opening video and not a generic Magikoopa? They look very similar, and seeing as how Kamek's been kind of not used lately (which sucks, Kamek pwns), it's very likely to just be a generic Maghikoopa. So unless there's any concrete proof that it's Kamek, then I think we shouldn't jump to conslusions. General Banzai 22:01, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you can't tell the difference yet yourself, it doesn't matter. If we jump to conclusions on this, no one gets hurt. And Wikipedia will be here later if you want to change it after you play the game.Madhatter9max 05:35, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, but that's like saying "Sonic will be in Brawl" on the Brawl page, believeing you can always change it later if it isn't true in the end. General Banzai 13:13, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I see what you mean but you see kamek and a magikoopa are basically the same thing and its just for the video, that would just be a small change later aside from an all new character sonic in brawl. the kamek or magikoopa does appear on one doomship part of a level.Madhatter9max 00:00, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, but we don't know whether or not it is Kamek or a Magikoopa, so why are we assuming it's Kamek? General Banzai 13:23, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

you tell me the difference between kamek and an ordinary magikoopa.Madhatter9max 21:04, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

if you don't know the difference, then theres no reason for it to be an issue. its only a video, lets just say for his sake that its Kamek. it could be him but just in the video. unless you know the difference.Madhatter9max 01:50, 16 October 2007 (UTC) ...But Wikipedia's not supposed to have speculation. You can't say it's Kamek without a cite. --Is this fact...? 04:43, 18 October 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by WhereIsTheCite? (talkcontribs) [reply]

its not really speculation. its a video that the player can't interact with. it might as well be him. just because he was in the vid doesnt mean it has anything else to do with the game. incidentally he is a boss though. conversation over.Madhatter9max 00:48, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Photos[edit]

How about putting photos on the plot area. First we put this photo beside the Rosseta sentence, and then a prologue photo, which can all be found on jeux-farance.com?? --Mr.Mario 192 22:44, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Genre[edit]

I feel it should be Platformer. I know the website calls it a 3D Action game, but that's a really general term. Almost every 3D game can be called a 3D Action game.

64 and Sunshine both have Platformer as their genre and Galaxy is most definitely the same genre as them both.

Let's let the developers decide for themselves, k? Don't touch it. Wikipedian06 05:43, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Almost every single other website and practically everywhere says it's a platformer game. Show anyone a quick video of the game and they'll definitely say it's a platformer. [7] [8] [9] also Nintendo's official (ENGLISH LANGUAGE) Wii site lists it as an action platformer game AND even goes on in a little section to talk about how it's redefining platformers. [10] The only two sites that call it action are the one you hold on to dearly and the Nintendo.com site (which uses Action for platformer games, if you search games that are obviously platformers on their site the genre is given as Action) Knowitall 08:11, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Very well. Source changed to [1]. Wikipedian06 08:38, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New info posted to official site[edit]

http://wii.com/jp/articles/mario-galaxy/crv/vol2/page4.html

I'm currently translating it right now. Anyone who wants to help is welcome to pitch in

  • This game will have the most transformations of any Mario game so far
  • As expected, the Fire Flower will grant the ability to shoot fireballs.
  • The Ice Flower counterpart will allow Mario to freeze water surfaces to form icy platforms.
  • The Rainbow Star powerup will grant invincibility.

More to come later. Wikipedian06 07:55, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gold Coins[edit]

First of all I don't know if G4 can be considered a good source, but on those little Feed Tickers at the bottom of the screen they were claiming that if you pre-order the game you get a free Mario "Gold Coin" although not actually gold of course. I was wondering if anyone else heard this? And if it's true should it be added to the article? 8:30 am 10-11-07 User:Zabbethx-Zabbethx —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zabbethx (talkcontribs) 12:32, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's true. Not really notable, IMHO. Plus, it's US-only. Wikipedian06 02:22, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

SSB Connection[edit]

Should we include that there's a huge connection to Super Smash Bros., which can be seen on Galaxy in his new move which looks like Mario Tornado?? --Mr.Mario 192 22:09, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No. Wikipedian06 01:38, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Calm down... I was just asking. The move just looks like it. and the crystal ball thingy, what are you talking about???? I am not sugesting for a prediction. I am just saying to put a small sentece saying that the move is similiar to Mario Tornado. --Mr.Mario 192 01:57, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That looked pretty calm to me....anyway, it's not really important to mention. -Sukecchi 02:18, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it's just one sentence. I will put it, O.K.? --Mr.Mario 192 02:23, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's not really the best way to go on a contested situation such as this. Two people have said no. Consensus rules, buku. -Sukecchi 02:46, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No. It's pointless to announce small coincidences in an encyclopedic article. --ThomasO1989 03:01, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it's not really a coincidence. It's a move, and it is impossible they didn't do it on purpose. --Mr.Mario 192 21:43, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Which is your own speculation. It's not noteworthy, and all of us here have established that. --ThomasO1989 13:28, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

i dont mind if you put it. because you see, wikipedia is for information and is allowed to mention coincidences. it is not just some sort of stomping ground for people that live in their moms basments so they can jurisdict what the public hears. you should probably put it on the smash bros section saying that it has been included in galaxy. cos the smash bros. came first and each characters moves are related to their past games.Madhatter9max 21:09, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

Doesn't stop the requested edit from being trivia and speculation, both of which arenot what Wikipedia should include. You might as well be saying that Mario's Spin Jump from Super Mario Sunshine is a reference to Mario's old Down B special (which makes more sense, but is still speculation). Disaster KirbyTalk 21:12, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

or we could just note somewhere that this move has become somewhat integral to every mario game since "world" aside from 64. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Madhatter9max (talkcontribs) 19:14, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My God! This is no speculation, believe me. On Nintendo Dream from last month it completed stated everything I'm trying to say here. This is no trivia, they said it would have a small impact in the story (maybe you are aking yourselves why would a move have an impact on a story, but that's what Miyamoto said. --Mr.Mario 192 14:33, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, until we have more information, it's completely trivial. DurinsBane87 16:28, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We don't need pointless little fun facts like this. If Wikipedia allowed this then every article would be like "Mario jumps, just like in SMB1, or like Kirby in Kirby's Dream Land!" So no. I doubt a lot of people really care about this kind of stuff, and Wikipedia is not a place to dump what stupid connections you see with Mario and Smash Bros or some crap like that.--ThomasO1989 16:36, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

its a place for information...its just in the way that you convey the info that matters. its not the end of the world if it says stuff like that. jeez, dont take the fun out of Wikipedia for everyone. your actually pettier if you remove it when they type it. we can just say in "marios moves" that the spin jump returns similar to smash bros. and SMW. lighten up76.27.215.219 07:40, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe you should actually read Wikipedia's policies before you try to tell us how it's supposed to be. We have policies AGAINST wikipedia becoming filled with trivial little comments like that. DurinsBane87 17:03, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It make clearer to some of you, it's even LESS notable than "UR MR GAY." --ThomasO1989 03:13, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, how could a move be less notable than just small stars on the letters of the logo?? Ridiculous. MIYAMOTO stated that the move was going to have future impact. Don't you understand this? I'm soory if you don't read Japanese, nor finding reliable sources of other languges, but, your loss Thomas. This is true, because it was stated on the most important Nintendo magazine in Japan. --Mr.Mario 192 21:48, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Although he stated the move will have future impact, it doesn't mean we should add "It's like his Mario Tornado move in SSB," which is irrelevant. --ThomasO1989 22:15, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is too trivial to go into the article. Can't believe something as petty has this has generated so much discussion. It's trivia, leave it, move on. Geoff B 00:26, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey guys, guess what. On the new comercial of Mario Galaxy, it shown him how did he get new powers to do the Mario Tornado. So, this explains how the story goes in getting his powers. Also, Miyamoto still said on the, Nintendo Conference, that there would be more information about it later. Plus, Sakurai said he had gotten permission to talk about Galaxy also, starting October 21. This may give us hints. Now, it's proven to be part of the plot. So, there is no reason to delete this section, or the information about it in the article. --Mr.Mario 192 23:24, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think that one move is a HUGE connection between the two games. And no one else does. The move may be important in this game, but it was just one of many moves in SSB, and wasn't part of the "plot". DurinsBane87 01:35, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

theres no plot for SSB. just leave everyone alone and let them (gulp) type stuff.Madhatter9max 00:53, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That was what the quotes were for. They can type it if they want, but it'll most likely get reverted. DurinsBane87 02:33, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
