Hello, I am also Pirtskhalaishvili. As I know from my parents there were three brothers who served on the Imereti Kingdom and something happened and they had to flee the kingdom and they seperated and went to different Georgian principalities. First brother went to Principality of Guria and was named as Pirtskhalaishvili, second went to Principality of Samegrelo and became Pirtskhalava and the third brother went to Principality of Svaneti and became Pirtskhelani or Pirtskheliani. This is all I know. I am very proud of my surname and will be happy to get more updated about it. I look forward if anyone will add some more info here in this discussion topic.
