The torii is made from Hinoki (a kind of cypress) of Arisan, ("Ariyama"), from Taiwan. In fact, all the major oteras and jinjyas in Japan used hinoki from Taiwan.

Meji shrine[edit]

Meiji Shrine (明治神宮, Meiji Jingū), is a Shinto shrine in Shibuya, Tokyo, that is dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shōken.[1][2] The shrine does not contain the emperor's grave, which is located at Fushimi-momoyama, south of Kyoto. 103.184.92.134 (talk) 18:15, 27 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
