I deleted most of the text because the whole article (with the exception of the first paragraph) was taken directly form the epitaph website (http://www.epitaph.com/artists/artist/42) and I doubt whether it was done with permission.

The article states that the song "Marie Marie" is a cover of a song by MXPX. I believe that the original song was infact by The Blasters and that both MXPX and The Bastards have covered it. Febodyed 14:00, 18 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I've just checked the song writing credits, and the song was originally by The Blasters. I've also rewritten most of the article using information in the CD booklets, and my own knowledge. Febodyed 15:26, 18 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I added the fact that LFATB put a cover of "tomorrow belongs to me" by Skrewdriver on their first record.

I think that although both songs may sound the same it wasn't openly a cover. I can't find any reference to the Campbell, CA being a cover of tomorrow belongs to me. We could correct it to say it sounds similar but I don't think it's worth mentioning. Not to mention I'm not too sure that Lars or Tim listen to Skrewdriver given that latter band's infamous racial stance. Therefore I will remove it. BobbyJTHais 16:51, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Musically it is exactly the same song. I've had an e-mail conversation about that topic with officials from Epitaph. They also admitted that it is a Skrewdriver-cover. During that long conversation they said that Lars has a lot of Skrewdriver-albums, a fact that he confirmed himself in some interviews (see: google). They said the reason why he put that song on the record was, that a lot of punks in the US actually like skrewdriver, and he wanted to give them a chance to listen to it with different lyrics. And I don't think it's not worth mentioning, just because it doesn't fit into the world of many people.

The conversation you had with epitaph officials would be original research and therefore cannot be used in the article. Otherwise you give no references. It may well be a screwdriver cover, and Lars maybe a hardcore Screwdriver fan but that is not the point. See WP:VERIFY 1. Articles should contain only material that has been published by reputable sources. 2. Editors adding new material to an article should cite a reputable source, or it may be removed by any editor. 3. The obligation to provide a reputable source lies with the editors wishing to include the material, not on those seeking to remove it. So please give references. I will revert until you do.
