Seriously wrong[edit]

This page is seriously wrong, St Fernando lived in the 15 century and finished the unification of Spain with his wife Queen Isabella — Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.28.209.248 (talk) 03:16, 6 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

No, this is correct. King Fernando III of Castille lived in the 13th Century with his first wife, Isabella of Swabia. You are thinking of King Fernando II of Aragon(also known as King Fernando V of Castile) "The Catholic" who married Isabella I of Castille. Their entry is here:Ferdinand_II_of_Aragon

The parents[edit]

I deleted the portion about Fernando III's parents being first cousins. They were not first cousins. Fernando III's father was Afonso IX, King of Leon and Castile who was the son of King Ferdinand II of Leon and Urraca of Portugal. Fernando III's mother was Berenguela of Castile who was the daughter of Alfonso VIII of Castile and Princess Eleanor of England. --Miguellabrego 18:20, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
