What is going on with the tagging of edits in the article history?[edit]

I added sourced information to the article about Murray and the sex abuse scandal: "and described his actions - or lack of - as "inexcusable". (The reference was given as http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8417507.stm "Irish bishop Donal Murray resigns over abuse report") and see on the history section that next to my edit is "(Tag: possible BLP issue or vandalism)". What is going on here? Who has tagged my edit? More importantly - why? It is a perfectly good edit, cited to the BBC website article. Are edits that are critical of Murray being tagged thus? Is it an attempt to stifle valid editing? I resent the tagging and want it removed. 81.156.126.212 (talk) 16:17, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The tag was added automatically by the Wiki software that uses a variety of word, pattern matching and other techniques to flag edits that may require attention. Negative comments (even if well sourced) from unregistered users in any biographical articles will often cause this tag to appear. - Why does it matter when the hurler had his heyday? No matter when he lived, he's still just a hurler. Support per nom and reject the above notion of "recentism"; the clergyman is older than the hurler and was also clearly notable in the pre-internet era.
