The references don't seem to have any biographical information at all. Am I missing it? Brianhe (talk) 15:35, 10 October 2011 (UTC)

Citations recently added by User:Thetelegraph do not back up biography beyond the source that already established subject was V.C. The 2007 Telegraph cite merely states Guptas then-current position, not academic history. Brianhe (talk) 14:53, 12 October 2011 (UTC)
Drsharan (talk · contribs) your recent Telegraph cite covers internal politics, not international conferences. Did you place the cite at the right place in the article? – Brianhe (talk) 16:20, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

Can this article be sourced? As it stands most of the article isn't substantiated and would leave less than a stub with unreferenced bio details removed. Brianhe (talk) 15:21, 17 October 2011 (UTC)

This WP:BLP not only has too few sources, it is poorly written. As it is, it should be tagged as a BLP lacking references and possibly for deletion unless accurate and pertinent biographical references are added. Lhb1239 (talk) 17:46, 17 October 2011 (UTC)

Thank you, I've tagged the article with unreferenced BLP notations as suggested. Will wait & see if better references appear before taking further action. Brianhe (talk) 00:23, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
Drsharan, again, the citations you have added are not germane. For example, the mushroom conference proceedings: did you intend to link to the list of conference attendees instead? The proceedings does not state that Gupta was the only attendee from India as implied by placement of the citation. Other misplaced (?) citations likewise. — Brianhe (talk) 09:33, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
