Popular escapist literature such as the popular best-sellers, mysteries and romances which form the bulk of Western publishing was nearly non-existent.[edit]

There existed strong s-f literature, both translated and original, books and short texts in popular technical magaizins. Xx236 09:02, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge Proposal[edit]

I propose merging Culture of the Soviet Union into Culture of Russia. This article is simply too short and lacking detail to exist as an article of its own, and Culture of Russia is specifically culture of the nation state, which is equivalent and the direct successor to the USSR. Culture of the Russian People is separate. I'm open to discussion and seeking consensus. 87.249.54.148 (talk) 04:44, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose Soviet Union is an entity very different from Russia in numerous respects. The page is short because nobody cares. But maybe someone will take a shot.- Altenmann >talk 17:12, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
