Article name[edit]

The article title leaves me a bit uncertain. Usually names are favored whenever possible, and I keep wanting to move it to "Creation of legal relations in English law", but I don't know anything about law. Circeus (talk) 03:16, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'd say it fits just as well at that title, there's not much in it. RichsLaw (talk) 08:58, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

synecdoche[edit]

I'm skeptical about the lede:

Creating legal relations in English law refers to the intention of contracting parties to be legally bound by their agreement.

Intention is an essential element, sure, but it's not the same thing as the result! How about something like: "In English law, creation of a legal relation depends on ..." —Tamfang (talk) 00:19, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I reworded the lead just now - as the article has been renamed - to make it a bit clearer. If you feel it can still be improved, feel free to change it :). RichsLaw (talk) 09:37, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal[edit]

This page covers the same topic as "Intention to be legally bound". Merger?! Arrivisto (talk) 16:52, 14 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Merger now done! Arrivisto (talk) 16:41, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
