June 1 Edits[edit]

I just made some edits to refocus the article on civil unions. The article before my edits was more of a summary of same-sex unions in the US. It barely mentioned civil unions, did not discuss their history, and had lists of states having every kind of same-sex union.

I therefore added some text from civil union, removed the same-sex marriage list, removed states with limited domestic partnerships (leaving only the ones similar to civil unions), and removed the section on states considering same-sex unions. As only one state, Illinois, was considering civil unions, it didn't seem worthwhile leaving the list after removing those states considering same-sex marriage or domestic partnership.

Even after my edits, the article is fully deserving of its "start" status, but I think is much improved. -Rrius (talk) 04:38, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hawaii Update: Civil Unions Moving Forward[edit]

This news article says that Hawaii is moving forward with civil unions. Should this information be posted in this article?

Illinois[edit]

The Illinois section is completely incoherent. --192.135.179.248 (talk) 19:53, 2 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
