This article had false information, AFAIK. The LHC has five experiments, not eight as the article proposed. Correct the article if I'm wrong.

A correction: LHC has a total of 6 experiments: 4 main experiments, and 2 smaller ones. The points in which the two beams cross, though, are only 4 (the 2 smaller experiments don't have dedicated crossing points, but use the data from the beam crossings made for 2 of the bigger experiments).
