  • Note before promotion: I'm promoting with the piped Cajun cuisine and Texan cuisine links in the hook. In case this seems odd, oysters are a big part of Cajun food. There are lots of places in Louisiana that serve fried oysters and bars that serve raw oysters.[1] East Texas, especially Galveston, has historically harvested and eaten loads of oysters.[2] The Cajun cuisine article just briefly mentions oysters and the Texan article doesn't mention them, but the sources are out there.
