Mina Rani Sarkar

Mina Rani Sarkar (born 1965) is an Indian politician from Tripura.[1] She is an Member of the Tripura Legislative Assembly from Badharghat Assembly constituency, which is a reserved constituency for the SC community in West Tripura district. She represented Bharatiya Janata Party and won the 2023 Tripura Legislative Assembly election.[2]

Early life and education[edit]

Sarkar is from Badharghat, West Tripura. She completed her graduation in arts in 1987 from University of Calcutta.[3]

Career[edit]

Sarkar won the 2023 Tripura Legislative Assembly election from Badharghat Assembly constituency representing Bharatiya Janata Party.[4] She polled 27,427 votes and defeated her nearest rival, Partha Ranjan Sarkar of AIFB, by a margin of 1,289 votes.
