The Rotterdam-class (R-class) is a class of Cruise ship operated by Holland America Line and Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines. The former co-flagships, MS Borealis (fka Rotterdam) and MS Bolette (fka Amsterdam), left the fleet in 2020. Each ship has 10 decks and a length of approximately 237m. The MS Volendam and MS Zaandam are the only ships in the class with a single funnel. The classes features include, a forward facing observatory lounge (located on deck 9), a two-tiered main restaurant, two swimming pools, one with a retractable roof, and a spectacular atrium spanning decks 3 to 5. Each vessel has their own atrium theme.
