Doomocracy is an Epic Progressive Doom Metal band from Heraklion, Crete Greece. The band was formed by Angelos Tzanis on guitar, Minas Vasilakis on drums and Michael Stavrakakis on vocals, during a jam-rehearsal in July 2011. Manolis Schizakis on bass and Harry Dokos on guitar joined later that year. Doomocracy recorded their first album " The End is Written" at Mad Hat Music studio. "The End is Written" album cover primarily featured a painting by American painter Thomas Cole The Course of Empire:Destruction. The painting was also used in the lyric video of the song "Faceless". As this painting was also used by other Heavy Metal bands, Doomocracy decided to work with Polish graphics designer Piotr Szafraniec to create an original cover for "The End is Written". The album was mixed by Swedish producer Daniel Bergstrand, mastered by Peter In De Betou and released by Steel Gallery Records on the 29th of September 2014. "Visions & Creatures of Imagination", Doomocracy's second album, was released once again through Steel Gallery Records on March 13 2017. It was mixed and mastered by Jim Morris at Morrisound Studios. On November 11th 2022 Doomocracy released their third album entitled "Unorthodox" through No Remorse Records. "Unorthodox", a concept album, was recorded by Fotis Benardo, mixed and mastered by Simon Johansson ( Soilwork ,Memory Garden , Wolf ) and Mike Wead ( King Diamond, Memento Mori, Hexenhaus ) saw Doomocracy paving a more progressive and diverse music path. The album cover features a painting by the late Polish painter Mariusz Lewandowski (The Lower of hope).
