Cameron Caminiti is an American outfielder and pitcher for Saguaro High School. He is considered a top prospect for the 2024 Major League Baseball draft.[1][2]
Amateur career[edit]
Caminiti lives in Scottsdale, Arizona and attends Saguaro High School.[3] As a sophomore he batted .446 with 29 hits, 31 runs scored, 25 RBIs, seven doubles, two triples, and four home run.[4] Caminiti reclassified from the class of 2025 to 2024.[5] He was named the Arizona Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior after compiling a 9-0 record with a 0.93 ERA and 119 strikeouts as a pitcher while also batting .493 with three home runs, 33 runs scored, and 28 RBIs.[6] Caminiti pitched a complete game and struck out 11 batters while giving up one run in the Class 4A State Championship Game as Saguaro won 2-1 over Canyon del Oro High School.[7] He is committed to play college baseball at LSU.[8][9]
Personal life[edit]
Caminiti is a cousin of former 1996 National League MVP Ken Caminiti.[10][11]
