The Ballard Center for Social Impact, located at Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah, is a leading academic center dedicated to promoting social innovation and impact. The center has grown through partnerships with various organizations, alumni support, and the dedication of passionate individuals committed to making a difference.[2]

The Ballard Center for Social Impact is a university-based program focused on solving the world's most pressing social problems using the Social Impact Cycle.[3]

Programs and Initiatives[edit]

The Ballard Center offers a variety of programs and initiatives designed to foster social impact and innovation:

  1. Social Innovation Projects (SIP): These projects allow students to work with nonprofit organizations, social enterprises, and government agencies to develop solutions to real-world problems. Students gain hands-on experience while making a tangible difference in communities.[4]
  2. Social Venture Academy (SVA): The SVA supports student entrepreneurs who are developing social ventures. The academy provides mentorship, funding, and resources to help these ventures grow and succeed.[5]
  3. Ballard Brief Research': The Ballard Brief provides high-quality research to inform the world about the complexities of current global issues. Ballard Briefs are written by undergraduate and graduate students and are edited by a highly-trained editorial team.[6]
