This page and this category is really meaningless - and should be considered for deletion. "The Football League" is a term sometimes used to include the English Premier League, the Coca Cola Championship and League One and League Two. Its component parts used to be known by other names, but it always consisted of the top (approximately 92) professional football (soccer) clubs in England and Wales. There have been simply thousands of players for these teams over the years. From the title of this category, it is not clear whether it should list all of those players who have played in this "league" over the years or, only those who played for this "league" when it was actually known by the name "the Football League" or only those who are currently playing for clubs in this "league". It is confusing to the point of being meaningless. Even if its part of the Wikipedia Project as described on the Discussion page, it should still be considered for deletion.
