Bikanta is a startup biotech company that develops clinical products which focuses on the detection of cancer through the insertion of fluorescent nanodiamonds.[1][2] The company was founded by Ambika Bumb as a solution to combat the inadequacies of cancer screening technology.[3] Bikanta currently has a five-member board of advisors that aid in nanodiamond industry research.[4]

The company was founded in 2013 and is based in Berkeley, California.[5] Bikanta raised $120k in seed funding in 2014.[6][7] In 2014, Bikanta participated in the Y Combinator program and was one of four companies backed by Y Combinator.[8][9][10] The company is currently developing imaging scanners to work alongside the developments in nanodiamond usage.[10]
