Shravan Tiwari is an Indian screenwriter and film director, born in 1972 in Prayagraj, India.[1]

Tiwari's work often explores themes of ghost stories, crime mystery, and gangster thrillers for example 706 (film), Aazam and The Tattoo Murders.[2]

Career[edit]

Shravan Tiwari completed a Bachelor of Science from Kotak Science Institute in Rajkot and later pursued a postgraduate program in management. Prior to entering the film industry, Tiwari gained experience in the newspaper industry, working with organizations like The Indian Express and Zee Media Corporation.

Acting and filmaking[edit]

Shravan Tiwari's filmmaking journey started in 2013. One of his noteworthy works is the 2019 horror thriller feature film, 706, which was picked up by Netflix for worldwide distribution. Shot in Varanasi, 706. Tiwari is known for his distinctive narrative style, wherein he unravels mysteries by revisiting the same plot points with altered meanings, adding depth to the storytelling.[3]. In 2021, he released the Hindi web series Kamathipura, or The Tattoo Murders on Amazon, Hotstar and MX player. Tiwari's last filmAazam was released in 2023.[4][5][6]
